Our team has thoroughly enjoyed the recently-released three-part documentary series by the Discovery Channel entitled “First in Human: The Trials of Building 10”, which tells the story of how medical breakthroughs come about at the National Institute of Health (NIH). The NIH is the world’s largest hospital dedicated to research and refers to their research center as “Building 10”. The building houses brilliant researchers and doctors, and brave patients that are enrolled in clinical trials in uncharted medical territory.
The three-part series is narrated by actor Jim Parsons (“The Big Bang Theory” and “Hidden Figures”) and documents the crucial adolescent starges of scientific research.
